THE TOP PERFORMER IN ITS CLASSThe Suzuki GSX-R600 has a history of dominating the AMA Pro Road Racing series– including the Daytona Sportbike, Supersport West, and Supersport East. This solidified the GSX-R600 as part of a race-winning line of motorcycles from coast to coast. The GSX-R600 has been developed with: an advanced race-proven 599cc, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine; a responsive, agile, and lightweight chassis; compact wheelbase; and race-developed suspension. In short, the GSX-R600 has once again proven to be the winning combination to Own The Racetrack. |
SUZUKI PROTECTION PLANSuzuki Protection Plan is a comprehensive plan that covers all mechanical, electrical and computer systems on your Suzuki Motorcycle or ATV. Ask your local Authorized Dealer about Suzuki Protection Plan for extra peace of mind. |
CAREFULLY SCULPTED BODYWORKHighlights include the powerful lines of the chiseled fuel tank, vented front fender, light rear fender, molded mirrors, and angular tail section with integrated LED taillight, clear turn signals, and clean layout of all wiring and hoses. The thin seat is shaped for sport riding, and also to helps make it easier to firmly plant your feet on ground and combines with the handlebars and footpegs to ensure a comfortable riding position. |
STYLINGRace-ready, iconic GSX-R styling provides sharp looks and a slippery shape with deep, rich paint with monochromatic graphics and color-matched cast aluminum wheels. |
RIDING POSITIONThree-way adjustable foot pegs, adjustable shift lever and short fuel tank help compose a comfortable riding position that permits the rider movement required for performance riding. |
A LIGHTER, MORE COMPACT CHASSISThe GSX-R600 model features completely chassis designs, each based on a more compact, lighter twin-spar aluminum frame with a 15 mm shorter wheelbase. The GSX-R600’s wheelbase now measures 1,385 mm. |
STRONG STOPPING POWERTwin Brembo Monobloc, radially-mounted front brake calipers grasp fully floating stainless steel brake rotors to deliver strong stopping power. |
ENGINE DESIGNA compact 599cc, four-cylinder engine with a race-proven over-square bore/stroke ratio produces remarkably strong high rpm power delivery. The energy-efficient engine employs forged pistons, shot-peened connecting rods, chrome-nitride-coated upper compression and oil control rings, and pentagonal ventilation holes to reduce frictional and mechanical losses. |
STEERING DAMPERElectronically controlled steering damper provides lighter steering at slower speeds and more damping force at racetrack and highway speeds. |
RACING SUSPENSIONBoth the Suzuki GSX-R750 and the Suzuki GSX-R600 come with the revolutionary, race-developed Showa Big Piston Front-fork (BPF) inverted front suspension system. Conventional inverted front forks use a cartridge assembly that fits inside the fork leg on each side and typically incorporates a 20 mm piston to control damping. |
EXHAUST SYSTEMFour-into-one stainless steel exhaust system with a titanium muffler is fitted with a Suzuki Exhaust Tuning (SET) valve that maximizes torque and improves throttle response, especially in the low- to mid-rpm range. |
OPTIONAL FEATUREOptional single seat cowl can replace the passenger seat for an even more aggressive look or for use on solo rides or track days. |
SUZUKI EMBLEMSStylized Suzuki “S” 3-D emblems on the fuel tank and the fork upper bracket denotes the quality, sophistication, and performance legacy of the brand. |
SDTV - Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve SystemSuzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) digital fuel-injection system. In SDTV induction system, each throttle body barrel has two butterfly valves, a primary valve controlled by the twist grip and a secondary valve controlled by the ECM based on engine rpm, gear selection and the position of the primary valve. The secondary butterfly valve opens and closes to maintain ideal intake air velocity, improving high combustion efficiency, thus resulting in a linear throttle response, increased low-to-mid range torque. |
SCEM - Suzuki Composite Electrochemical MaterialSuzuki Composite Electrochemical Material (SCEM) is Suzuki’s own nickel-silicon-carbide coating technique derived from racetrack experience. SCEM cylinders allow faster heat transfer and tighter piston-to-cylinder clearance, for superb durability and resistance to scuffing. |
SRAD - Suzuki Ram Air SystemThe Suzuki Ram Air-Direct (SRAD) air intakes are positioned close to the centreline of the fairing nose – the position offering optimum intake efficiency. This results in better intake efficiency, increasing engine power in high speed. * The technology is used in GSX-R1000, 750, 600 and Hayabusa. |
SCAS - Suzuki Clutch Assist SystemSuzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) - a back-torque-limiting clutch helps make downshifts smoother, assists the rider in taking control in deceleration. Ramped engagement cams built into the clutch hub decrease force on the clutch plates under deceleration by pushing up against the pressure plate, allowing the plates to slip at a controlled rate. |
SDMS - Suzuki Drive Mode SelectorSuzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) system allows the rider to select one of three fuel injection and ignition system maps (2 maps in the case of GSX-R750/600), adjusting power delivery to suit personal preference in various riding situations, such as different racetracks or tight, twisty roads. Selecting and switching between mode settings is by a switch on the handlebar; the selected mode setting is displayed on the tachometer. The feature helps the rider to enjoy the performance in a wider range of riding situations. * The technology is used in GSX-R1000, 750, 600, DL1050 and Hayabusa. |
SET - Suzuki Exhaust TuningSuzuki Exhaust Tuning (SET) system, which uses a servo-controlled butterfly valve to modify back pressure and tune the pipe to match engine rpm. At lower rpm, the valve closes, increasing back pressure and improving low-end torque. The valve progressively opens as engine speed increases, reducing back pressure and increasing mid-range and high-rpm power. |
